Hi Marshall
There are basically two type of Trading Style Based on duration of holding for the Financial Instruments:
1. Intraday Trading
2. Delivery Based Trading
Intraday trading is commonly referred to as day trading. In an intraday trade the stock can be bought and sold on the very same day before the trading session ends.

While Delivery Based trading or Interday trading are those in which the stocks are bought and they can only be sold after they are delivered to the trading account which usually takes a couple of days. Interday traders can hold such positions from at least two days to several days to weeks or months.
