Custom Screener - Technical - ADX
I am use the ADX indicator in my trading strategy. I read a book called 'ADXcellence' by Charles Schaap. In this book, he writes "The default moving average period is 14 days....I use DMI (13) and ADX (8)....This setting makes ADX more sensitive to changes in trend strength and momentum." (Page 15 Para 2; Page 16 Para 3).
I noticed that TopStockResearch uses the default setting for 14 for both ADX and DMI. The results of the custom screener will be much more useful and faster if there is an option to change the indicator settings as mentioned in the book: ADX 8 & DMI 13. Instead of the current default setting of 14 for both ADX and DMI.
I hope this valuable suggestion from an expert author will be incorporated in your screener functionality to make it more profitable for traders. Kindly provide an option to change the ADX settings in your screener. I spoke to your customer service agent Mayur about this. Kindly revert with your thoughts at the earliest. Thanks and welcome!
