One thing i noticed, after this bonus equity size of rec and pfc are almost same, which suggests post bonus, merger is next, most likely every shareholder of rec will get same qty of pfc shares. which means at current market price rec holders will gain 15 percent more than pfc holders. It will be prudent to become rec shareholder rather than pfc. After nullifying rec shares what pfc has, post merger 400 crore equity shares will be there of merged entity, at approx 20k crore profit, eps is expected to be approximately 50. going forward most likely from this year, 40 percent dividend policy may be announced. approximately 20 rs dividend, best case senario. If 30 percent will continue 15 rs dividend. Post bonus rec cost will be Rs 90 at current market price. 15 to 20 rs dividend at an investment of 90 rs, which may go up further in future if all goes well. 50 to 100 percent return for rec shareholders are there in next 1 year. I quote, have the cake and eat it too.

Modest 7000cr profit. 2800cr dividend, Rs 14 dividend is very attractive for people like me who gets less than 6 percent on fixed deposit. Best case will be 10k crore profit, 4000 crores dividend, 20 Rs dividend will make the stock visit 142 to 168 again in this year at some point of time. Bonus will be sentimental positive in short term, but nothing to add value. Market is smart enough to convert this into non event soon. I am happy to see price in downward slope to keep doing my SIP.
